About The Free Lantern

The Free Lantern is a musical exploration of openness—produced on Linux, inspired by open-source culture, and unbound by genre. From synthwave and deep house to EBM, folk, metal, hip-hop and nerdcore, each track follows the same principle as good code: build together, share freely, improve in public.

Why a Lantern?

Sometimes the path forward feels dark and uncertain, like an uphill journey. The lantern symbolizes illumination, a small but steady light that reveals the way and invites others to walk it together.
